Etain Nicks...

...Are a 5 piece band, playing music ranging all the way from moderate rock, to medium rock. Our aim in the world of music is not to preach about other, lesser bands who should be strung out on a wire and dried, before being dessicated and used in the confectionary business. Instead we let our music speak for itself, and cliches like that.

History

Etain Nicks were born from the ashes of a phoenix in December 2002. Guitar virtuoso Darryl Dennis saw his colleague Martine "Furious" Turner perform for some shitty work do, then thought to himself 'she can sing'. It wasn't a complex thought process but it was all that was needed.
Immediately after about a week, Darryl called upon long term musical collaborator Joseph "Left-eye" Passi for some sort of guidance in putting oil into the cogs of the machine that was being mentally built, a machine that was at that time called simply Joe's Band, a name which I think should have stayed.

Apathy and stupididity kept progress at bay, like an apple, until Joseph took the extreme step of advertising for other musicians. Because, although a three piece band of guitar, drums and singer would sound shit, in all of our opinions it wouldn't have sounded very good at all.
In March, Elliott "Double L, double T" Scott "Double T" arrived on the scene. Finally Joe's Band could begin practising, creating and insulting one another to varying degrees. It was fun.

The final chapter in Part 1 of the Etain Nicks story came in the unlikely form of Sean "John" Cleaver. His reptillian fingers made him perfect for the job of second guitarist and his creative skills and songwriting ability made him think he was all that, when in fact he was only some of that. He joined in late April 2003 and sometime around then Joe's Band became Etain Nicks. And the rest, as they say, is written elsewhere.

That's all I can be arsed to write at present!
